Kat & Peter's Wedding l Chelmsford

Kat & Peter got married near Chelmsford in Essex, with a beautiful barn reception on Elms Farm. I had the opportunity to second shoot for photographer Michelle-Joubert Martin (which happens to be a fellow South-African!).

Kat & Peter met when Peter interviewed Kat for a job...needless to say, she got the job and the rest is history. The wedding was very intimate with most decorations, details and even the cake made by the bride, her mom, and other family members respectively. This was one of those weddings where, even though I had never met Kat and Peter before, by the time the night ended it felt like I was saying goodbye to family (I even got a kiss and hug to prove it!)

Kat and Peter was so much fun to photograph as well, as they were absolutely smitten, and they were not shy to prove it :)

Sarah & Scott's Wedding l Norwich

This year I had the privilege of shooting my first few weddings as second shooter to some  amazing photographers. My first wedding of  the season was with (the awesome) Jemma from JMA Photography , when we shot  Scott & Sarah's wedding in April. While Jemma headed off to take pictures of Sarah getting ready at Sprowston Manor, I was left (i.e thrown in the deep end) to trend to 'the boys'.
We then headed for the ceremony at a church in Brundall near Scotts family home, and then headed for the reception venue -  a marquee on the majestic groungs of Hockering House. Sarah & Scott had paid so much attention to detail - from flip flops in a basket at the door (so ladies could rest their aching feet!), to the most yummy sweet table and they even had special wooden letters with 'Mr & Mrs ' designed for the Top table.
Ps. you definitely want to check out the cake!

The Appleby Family l Mousehold Heath, Norwich

I met up with the Appleby family really early (8am to be exact) a few Saturdays' ago. On arrival at Mousehold Heath (forest) I was met by a little boy with the most gorgeous smile! Blakes' mom told me he had been telling everyone he would be 'meeting a lady in the woods' (this would be me!).
A real little gentleman, he politely took me by the hand and led the way..completely in charge (of which I thought was my photo shoot!), with Mom Tracy and Dad Nick following behind. I fell love with this little boy, and when you see the photos you will understand why!

Kent Family Shoot

Have you ever had the feeling that one of 'you' just was not enough and you desperately needed a clone? Point in case: Charlene asked me to take some pictures of her two boys Rio, and Rocco. The boys were not keen to sit still (a given being boys in a park!) and each wanted to go off and explore...in different directions! I got a good workout running to and fro between the two brothers. Rio loves the camera (and steam trains - hence the last image), while Rocco tended to shy away - so I had to sneak up on him most times :)

Katie & Adam l Couple Shoot l Great Yarmouth

I'm busting at the seams to share these images ..my FIRST ever couple shoot! Katie and I have been trying to plan this shoot for the past 2 months - somehow, we just couldn't get a date that we were both available! Finally a few weeks ago, we found a date that worked, and although the weather wasn't looking happy, we made a dash for Great Yarmouth beach! For a while the sun played along -  until all of a sudden we were hit with a massive down pour and had to make a run for  shelter underneath a nearby pier! Luckily it didn't last too long and we even got a chance to grab some ice-cream and hot donuts before heading back home!

Adri I Portrait shoot I Part Two

I hope you remember Adri, who I introduced in my previous post...here is Part Two of our fantastic shoot! I felt like I was transported in time to the romantic 1950's! (The first image is a bit different - just me having some artistic fun!)
