That being said, I will also have limited internet connection for the next 2 weeks, so please bear
with me, it will be worth it in the end!

Helena & Phil's Wedding | Norwich

Helena & Phil got married at the new Norwich venue, The Space. I was asked by photographer Jemma Mickleburgh to second shoot this wedding, which was anything but boring, seeing the best man and ushers serenaded the bride with song and dance that would have made any boy band jealous!

The reception continued at Dunston Hall, with the decor creating a beautiful vintage and 'olden days' feel. I couldn't help but edit the photos in that same mood. To love and happiness!

Riaan & Marli l Couple Shoot l Norwich

Marli and Riaan are close friends of mine, and I was delighted when they asked me to take some photographs of them! They are both quite camera shy, so I felt honoured that they felt comfortable enough to ask me  (I think most of the shots of Riaan's laughing were nervous laughter more than anything else!) Never the less - I think they did brilliantly and we got some gorgeous pictures!

I had spotted this field of flowers a couple of weeks prior to the shoot, and knew it would be the perfect location, as they are both nature lovers. It is such a blessing every time I see the delight on couples' faces when they see their images  - even more so if they are you're friends!

Family Shoot l Eaton Park Norwich

When I was asked to photograph six (yes you heard right..six as in half a dozen) children I really was not sure what to expect. The 6 cousins (3 pairs of siblings) included: the twins, Megan and David (14), Jack (9) and Amy (6) and last but not least  Molly (5) and Oliver (21 months). The photographs were to be a special gift for their grandparents :) I had so much fun watching the cousins interact with each other and I could see they really loved one another and enjoy each others company. We had some good laughs along the way as Oliver clearly didn't understand the need to sit still while he could be running around in the park instead - hence when he did sit still the older kids had to pounce into position around him, ready to smile!

Lente l Baby Shoot l Earlham Park, Norwich

My friends Jaco and his wife, Lizelle, was keen for me to take photographs of their baby niece - when Jaco's  brother,Rudi, and sister in-law, Annemie visited from South Africa.  Jaco and  Lizelle  arranged for me to meet them to photograph 8 month old Lente (her name  means 'Spring' in Afrikaans) in Earlham Park. Lente came ready for action - all smiles, giggles and wonderful baby expressions!

Featured Couple Shoot - This Charming Wedding Blog

Imagine my surprise and delight when I was contacted by Danielle from This Charming Wedding Blog after she found the blog I did on Katie & Adam's Couple Shoot online. She wanted to feature my work on her blog! This was a first for me, I've never submitted work before, never-mind someone actually finding me of their own accord! A big thanks (and a hug) to Danielle - you can view the featured couple shoot here, and while you are there have a look around!

Kat & Peter's Wedding l Chelmsford

Kat & Peter got married near Chelmsford in Essex, with a beautiful barn reception on Elms Farm. I had the opportunity to second shoot for photographer Michelle-Joubert Martin (which happens to be a fellow South-African!).

Kat & Peter met when Peter interviewed Kat for a job...needless to say, she got the job and the rest is history. The wedding was very intimate with most decorations, details and even the cake made by the bride, her mom, and other family members respectively. This was one of those weddings where, even though I had never met Kat and Peter before, by the time the night ended it felt like I was saying goodbye to family (I even got a kiss and hug to prove it!)

Kat and Peter was so much fun to photograph as well, as they were absolutely smitten, and they were not shy to prove it :)

Sarah & Scott's Wedding l Norwich

This year I had the privilege of shooting my first few weddings as second shooter to some  amazing photographers. My first wedding of  the season was with (the awesome) Jemma from JMA Photography , when we shot  Scott & Sarah's wedding in April. While Jemma headed off to take pictures of Sarah getting ready at Sprowston Manor, I was left (i.e thrown in the deep end) to trend to 'the boys'.
We then headed for the ceremony at a church in Brundall near Scotts family home, and then headed for the reception venue -  a marquee on the majestic groungs of Hockering House. Sarah & Scott had paid so much attention to detail - from flip flops in a basket at the door (so ladies could rest their aching feet!), to the most yummy sweet table and they even had special wooden letters with 'Mr & Mrs ' designed for the Top table.
Ps. you definitely want to check out the cake!

The Appleby Family l Mousehold Heath, Norwich

I met up with the Appleby family really early (8am to be exact) a few Saturdays' ago. On arrival at Mousehold Heath (forest) I was met by a little boy with the most gorgeous smile! Blakes' mom told me he had been telling everyone he would be 'meeting a lady in the woods' (this would be me!).
A real little gentleman, he politely took me by the hand and led the way..completely in charge (of which I thought was my photo shoot!), with Mom Tracy and Dad Nick following behind. I fell love with this little boy, and when you see the photos you will understand why!

Kent Family Shoot

Have you ever had the feeling that one of 'you' just was not enough and you desperately needed a clone? Point in case: Charlene asked me to take some pictures of her two boys Rio, and Rocco. The boys were not keen to sit still (a given being boys in a park!) and each wanted to go off and different directions! I got a good workout running to and fro between the two brothers. Rio loves the camera (and steam trains - hence the last image), while Rocco tended to shy away - so I had to sneak up on him most times :)

Katie & Adam l Couple Shoot l Great Yarmouth

I'm busting at the seams to share these images FIRST ever couple shoot! Katie and I have been trying to plan this shoot for the past 2 months - somehow, we just couldn't get a date that we were both available! Finally a few weeks ago, we found a date that worked, and although the weather wasn't looking happy, we made a dash for Great Yarmouth beach! For a while the sun played along -  until all of a sudden we were hit with a massive down pour and had to make a run for  shelter underneath a nearby pier! Luckily it didn't last too long and we even got a chance to grab some ice-cream and hot donuts before heading back home!

Adri I Portrait shoot I Part Two

I hope you remember Adri, who I introduced in my previous is Part Two of our fantastic shoot! I felt like I was transported in time to the romantic 1950's! (The first image is a bit different - just me having some artistic fun!)

Adri I Portrait shoot I Part One

Wow, I am so excited to share these images. Adri is such a fun and outgoing person (with a super infectious laugh), that we could just go for it and have fun on this shoot! She was kind enough to allow me to take the reigns and choose the locations and even her outfits for the shoot. As you noticed this is only Part One, because there was sooo many fantastic images to choose from :) For the first part of the shoot we found a fantastic graffiti wall in an abandoned parking area in Norwich City Centre, and started shooting in the hope no one would chase us away (luckily Norwich City FC was playing so I think the coppers had their hand full with the crowds -  and we were left in peace)!

This photo shoot was special - this is Kara. In September last year I took photos of mom Susan's bump, and now, 6 months later, I had the chance to photograph Kara in a new light, as part of the 'outside' world... She has grown up so fast, becoming a real little person, with her own quirky personality. I hope I have captured this in some of these images so you can get to know her a bit better too...

Sophie celebrated her first birthday a couple of weeks ago. They had a special pink cake made for the day, and Sophie was dressed in a matching pink dress...too precious! Mom Emily and dad Mike looked so proud. There was so much love in the room for this little girl, and a real sense of family. Thank you Dicker family for making me part of your very special day, the first of many birthdays Sophie will celebrate with her family and loved ones. Happy Birthday Sophie!

Bailey & Lou

Yesterday I did a shoot with a was a first photographing man (or in this case women) and her furry companion. Louise asked me to photograph her and Bailey, a beautiful brown cocker spaniel.  I must say I was a bit worried when I knocked on Lou's door only to hear a deep thud, as if someone was trying to break down the door (Bailey could barely contain his excitement!). Most of the morning was spent with Lou and I chasing Bailey, but I think the beautiful pictures made it worth the effort! The last image is one of Baileys' favourite toys...

Vintage scooter

I just love antiques and anything vintage. When I saw this vintage looking scooter this morning I could not resist taking these two pictures :)

I took some photo's of Riley and his parents on Sunday in Earlham park. Starting off the shoot I feared I would end up with only pictures of the back of Riley's head -as all he wanted to do was run wild!! I sure got a workout trying to keep up with him...and in the process both me and Riley got quite muddy as well :)

Katherine Barker Wedding Design

My beautiful friend (and bride to be) Katy, asked me to take some images for her new Wedding Planning website. Wow, I felt so honoured! We had a great day shooting with LOTS of girly fun. Katy had put together a table with blues and whites that was just absolutely sophisticated and romantic all at once! Feel free to visit her her current website at and check back to see the new images in a bit!

Meribel, France

Last month we headed for Les Allues in Meribel for a skiing/snowboarding holiday. We stayed in the beautiful Chalet Claire de Lune. Everywhere I looked was little details and 'prettiness'! A feast for my eyes, and I couldn't resist snapping a view pictures. As for my first experience snowboarding... I am now more sure than ever black and blue is not my colour!

Jack & Olly

I had the privilege of taking pictures of 2 lovely brothers, Olly (6 months) and Jack (2 years). Olly was such a bundel of joy and smiled like a pro. Jack had his own ideas, but says 'chheeese' on que. It was such a pleasure! Thanks to mum Gemma for taking us to the park, even though I think she knew Jack would put up a fight once we had to leave!
